Connecticut, USA – March 12, 2015 – Media Links is driving innovation at NAB 2015, stand SU4324, by delivering full IP based solutions that are changing the way Media is produced and delivered. The rapid global deployment of Media Links’ IP based transport, switching and compression technology and the way it is being utilized, is enabling Broadcasters to gain efficiencies never before realized.

This year at NAB, attendees will witness an even greater adoption of IP technology supporting “live” Media applications and once again, Media Links will be front and center.

Media Links will demonstrate the real-time delivery of high quality, low latency 4K and 3G/HD-SDI content required to support remotely produced events. The benefits associated with an increase in the number of camera feeds as well as a higher consumption of bandwidth can be measured against significant cost savings associated with eliminating Satellite uplink, additional OB Trucks and supporting a centralized production. A Remote Production environment utilizing the Media Links standards-based IP transport solutions, ensures Broadcasters are able to ingest live feeds as MPEG-2 TS over IP streams, directly to the Studio workflow..

In conjunction with a high profile network provider, EMC and For-A, Media Links will also be demonstrating ‘live to file’ ingest of uncompressed HD-SDI video encapsulated with SMPTE 2022. SMPTE 2022 is a standard way to encapsulate high performance video signals for transport over IP networks. The ‘live to file’ capture application sets the stage for improved workflow efficiencies. A live to file workflow offers immediate record and playout functionality, and delivers content directly to the studio in a format suitable for immediate editing.

Media Links will be at NAB 2015, booth #SU4324.
